So youre standing on a rug (random yes I know, but bare with me)
You love this rug; this rug is your whole world (it is going somewhere)
And then out of no where, a knife slits through. The rug is cut right through the centre. Each side pulling away form the other. Your left foot on one half, your right foot on the other. What do you do? Jump to the left side. Jump to the right side. Jump strait up in the air onto the floor, walk off and find another rug? Try desperately to repair the rug, pull it back together?
Any of those four options suck. With the first two, you loose half your rug, which might be hurt that you didnt go with it (yes if you didnt get it by now the rug is an analogy, I am not suggesting that rugs have emotions, however not ever being a rug myself, I wouldnt know) Choosing between two things your love equally is impossible, unless you do not love equally. In which case you do not have a problem, for although some may get hurt, you do not hurt those which you love more. Number three requires you never to have loved your rug at all, for it is near impossible to walk away from one thing you love, let alone two. However you may be respected for not choosing, and in that retain some love from both sides of the rug, but you will never stand as firmly on them again. The forth, sometimes seem like an impossible battle, for while you may manage to sew the rug back together, the seams between the two sides will never fit quite the same. It would only take a good pull in either direction to break them again.
So what do you do?
Any ideas?
I could use some

Why does love always feel like a battlefield?
--------------------------------------------------------
Its still so hard to be who you are so you play this part and the show goes on...

I guess no matter how much you love something, there are somethings you just cant save.
As far as I am concerned noone of my friends can be missed nor replaced, buying a new rug might help the problem but I will not be satisfied if my old rug is laying in a corner covered with dust. A rug should be ONE rug which is never finished and I try to get new materials to make the rug bigger and stronger.
